Katrina & Tom
Chateau de Mairy, France
Katrina and Tom had a simply beautiful 17th Century Chateau wedding at the beautiful Chateau de Mary in the Champagne region of France. Set in ten hectares of lovely gardens and woodland. From the moment we started discussing their wonderful plans at a wedding fair 7 months before their big day I could tell it was going to be something special and it certainly did not disappoint!

Originally Katrina and Tom told us they were not going to have a professional photographer for their big day but just rely on their friends and family using mobile phones. Chris kindly encouraged them not to and we worked with them to fit around their budget because we knew we could deliver some stunning memories for them to treasure forever. As soon as the couple saw Chris’s worked and had a chat they booked him then and there.
After catching the ferry and a 3-hour drive down to the Chateau, we arrived the day before to say ‘hello!’ to the family and have a tour of the amazing venue. Chris’s eyes were alight with ideas and he had to start shooting straight away. We were treated to a glass of prosecco and a burger off the BBQ.
It was an early start for us on the day of the wedding. We arrived to an excited bridal party. Katrina and her four bridesmaids getting ready while the venue got the ceremony room and marquee ready.

After the ceremony, all the guests enjoyed canapés and local champagne as we did traditional family photographs. Chris then went up a story to hang out a window to get the big group shot! Shortly after it was nice to whisk the couple away for ten minutes to get some photos on their own around the estate.

The guests made their way through the colorful ribbon archway through the magical woodland to the intimate marquee. The food cooked on site by Chef Christopher tasted amazing (yes another Chris!).
